“Don’t count your owls till they’re delivered.” So Dumbledore tells Harry. And on Monday 3rd July, we were in a similar frame of mind down in the woods wondering just what birds of prey we might see. Well, around eight different owl varieties was the outcome
And so, we had a very enjoyable afternoon at Eglinton Country Park photographing owls expertly delivered by a team from “Owl Magic”, led by Tracey Leonard. The birds were beautiful and, although not wild, were perched in very natural settings. Expectations from this event prompted a good attendance by club members who revelled in the superb opportunity for images. A portrait session of a different kind, with a deal of skill required in the lower light conditions of the Eglinton Woods.
These great images posted here are provided by our Syllabus Secretary, Alan Stewart. Well done, Alan!
A Big Thank-you to Tracey and her team, and especially to Jackie Stewart who suggested the outing and who helped set up the event.
